## <a name="working-in-idea"></a> Working with the project in IntelliJ IDEA

It is recommended to use the latest released version of Intellij IDEA (Community or Ultimate Edition). You can download IntelliJ IDEA [here](https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download).

After cloning the project, import the project in IntelliJ by choosing the project directory in the Open project dialog.

There are 2 ways to try Fess. The first is to download and install yourself. The second is to use [Docker](https://www.docker.com/products/docker-engine).

### Download and Install/Run

Fess 14.12 is now available and can be downloaded on the [Releases page](https://github.com/codelibs/fess/releases "download"). Downloads come in 3 flavors: deb, rpm, zip.

The following commands show how to use the zip download:
