It is designed to be very simple to use, and to make it very easy for any developer to integrate other components with **FastAPI**.

## What is "Dependency Injection" { #what-is-dependency-injection }

**"Dependency Injection"** means, in programming, that there is a way for your code (in this case, your *path operation functions*) to declare things that it requires to work and use: "dependencies".

  jarfile to pom-4.0.0.xml (and successive revisions to the base pom made to
  accommodate changes in the model will be named accordingly - 4.0.1, 4.0.2, ...).

Minimum Element-Set for a Project POM

  In order to furnish a basic set of information which we need to distinguish one
  project from another, maven requires a minimum set of elements to be specified
  in each project's pom.xml.

- `outputRoute` – A routing token that is added to the response headers when the Lambda function returns the transformed object. This is used by MinIO to further verify the incoming response validity.

## Early exit and `scope` { #early-exit-and-scope }

Normally the exit code of dependencies with `yield` is executed **after the response** is sent to the client.

For some types of applications you might want to add dependencies to the whole application.

Similar to the way you can [add `dependencies` to the *path operation decorators*](dependencies-in-path-operation-decorators.md){.internal-link target=_blank}, you can add them to the `FastAPI` application.

In that case, they will be applied to all the *path operations* in the application:
