Maven Compat

 Maven2 classes maintained as compatibility layer for plugins that need to keep Maven2 compatibility.

 Plugins should avoid these classes and be updated to use only Maven3 dependencies (and require Maven3): see

layer over the underlying cluster management platform, such as Kubernetes.

## Details about the `Request` object

As **FastAPI** is actually **Starlette** underneath, with a layer of several tools on top, you can use Starlette's <a href="https://www.starlette.io/requests/" class="external-link" target="_blank">`Request`</a> object directly when you need to.

When a ztunnel receives traffic (authenticated or not) from a workload, it will forward that traffic to the Waypoint proxy **after** applying any `TRANSPORT` layer policies (i.e. `Authorization`s).
