## Compiler {#compiler}

The build time overhead to building with [Profile Guided Optimization](/doc/pgo) has been reduced significantly.
Previously, large builds could see 100%+ build time increase from enabling PGO.
In Go 1.23, overhead should be in the single digit percentages.

And multiple processes normally **don't share any memory**. This means that each running process has its own things, variables, and memory. And if you are consuming a large amount of memory in your code, **each process** will consume an equivalent amount of memory.
