This document outlines the concerns of a general plugin manager that would be used in conjunction with any Plexus-based application. The following outlined concerns are an attempt to describe what a plugin manager would need to do for Maven and for Nexus.

HTTPS
=====

OkHttp attempts to balance two competing concerns:

 * **Connectivity** to as many hosts as possible. That includes advanced hosts that run the latest versions of [boringssl](https://boringssl.googlesource.com/boringssl/) and less out of date hosts running older versions of [OpenSSL](https://www.openssl.org/).

## Use one HTTP operation per function

Don't mix HTTP operations in a single function, having one function per HTTP operation helps separate concerns and organize the code.

Do this:

Go 1.25 (starting with Go 1.25 RC 2) disabled build information stamping when
multiple VCS are detected due to concerns around VCS injection attacks. This
behavior and setting was backported to Go 1.24.5 and Go 1.23.11. This behavior
can be renabled with the setting `allowmultiplevcs=1`.
