## Benchmarks and speed { #benchmarks-and-speed }

When you check the benchmarks, it is common to see several tools of different types compared as equivalent.

Specifically, to see Uvicorn, Starlette and FastAPI compared together (among many other tools).

MinIO uses [`klauspost/compress/s2`](https://github.com/klauspost/compress/tree/master/s2)
streaming compression due to its stability and performance.

This algorithm is specifically optimized for machine generated content.
Write throughput is typically at least 500MB/s per CPU core,
and scales with the number of available CPU cores.
Decompression speed is typically at least 1GB/s.

It means that **FastAPI** was specifically tested with the editors used by 80% of the Python developers. And as most of the other editors tend to work similarly, all its benefits should work for virtually all editors.

Such a set typically includes many root certificates from well-known certificate authorities like
Entrust and Verisign.

This is the behavior you'll get with your OkHttpClient if you don't specifically configure
`HandshakeCertificates`. Or you can do it explicitly with `addPlatformTrustedCertificates()`:

**FastAPI** provides a shortcut for these cases, in where the dependency is *specifically* a class that **FastAPI** will "call" to create an instance of the class itself.
