# Generating SDKs { #generating-sdks }

Because **FastAPI** is based on the **OpenAPI** specification, its APIs can be described in a standard format that many tools understand.

This makes it easy to generate up-to-date **documentation**, client libraries (<abbr title="Software Development Kits">**SDKs**</abbr>) in multiple languages, and **testing** or **automation workflows** that stay in sync with your code.

### Container Images

All container images are available as manifest lists and support the described
architectures. It is also possible to pull a specific architecture directly by
adding the "-$ARCH" suffix  to the container image name.

and then replaces each occurrence of a type C.xxx with _C_xxx.

If xxx is data, cgo arranges for C.xxx to refer to the C variable,
with the type translated as described above.  To do this, cgo must
introduce a Go variable that points at the C variable (the linker can
be told to initialize this pointer).  For example, if the gmp library
provided
