### Concurrency and Burgers { #concurrency-and-burgers }

This idea of **asynchronous** code described above is also sometimes called **"concurrency"**. It is different from **"parallelism"**.

**Concurrency** and **parallelism** both relate to "different things happening more or less at the same time".

### The Problem { #the-problem }

So, what's the problem with installing packages in the global Python environment?

At some point, you will probably end up writing many different programs that depend on **different packages**. And some of these projects you work on will depend on **different versions** of the same package. 😱

of the code.  There are many ways you could offer source, and different
solutions will be better for different programs; see section 13 for the
