And as you can have parallelism and asynchronicity at the same time, you get higher performance than most of the tested NodeJS frameworks and on par with Go, which is a compiled language closer to C <a href="https://www.techempower.com/benchmarks/#section=data-r17&hw=ph&test=query&l=zijmkf-1" class="external-link" target="_blank">(all thanks to Starlette)</a>.

### Is concurrency better than parallelism?

Nope! That's not the moral of the story.

If you are developing an application with an older non-async framework, and can work with all its defaults, **it can be a great tool**.

But if you need to change some of the defaults, support more than one predefined database, work with an async framework (like FastAPI), etc, you will need to add quite some complex extra code to override those defaults.

## Overview

MinIO implements an S3 extension to list, stat and download files inside a ZIP file stored in any bucket. A perfect use case scenario is when you have a lot of small files archived in multiple ZIP files. Uploading them is faster than uploading small files individually. Besides, your S3 applications will be able to access to the data with little performance overhead.

- **Each object is written to a single EC set, and therefore is spread over no more than 16 drives.**
- **All the nodes running distributed MinIO setup are recommended to be homogeneous, i.e. same operating system, same number of drives and same network interconnects.**

Some requests will have a cached response. When this cached response isn’t fresh, OkHttp can do a _conditional GET_ to download an updated response if it’s newer than what’s cached. This requires headers like `If-Modified-Since` and `If-None-Match` to be added.

## Rewriting Responses

 * Fix: Drop `Content-Length` header when redirected from POST to GET.
 * Fix: Correctly read cached header entries with malformed header names.
 * Fix: Do not directly support any authentication schemes other than "Basic".
 * Fix: Respect read timeouts on recycled connections.
 * Fix: Transmit multiple cookie values as a single header with delimiter.
 * Fix: Ensure `null` is never returned from a connection's `getHeaderFields()`.
