The main feature I wanted from Django REST Framework was the automatic API documentation. Then I found that there was a standard to document APIs, using JSON (or YAML, an extension of JSON) called Swagger. And there was a web user interface for Swagger APIs already created. So, being able to generate Swagger documentation for an API would allow using this web user interface automatically.

The hierarchy is like: * **Uvicorn**: an ASGI server * **Starlette**: (uses Uvicorn) a web microframework * **FastAPI**: (uses Starlette) an API microframework with several additional features for building APIs, with data validation, etc. * **Uvicorn**: * Will have the best performance, as it doesn't have much extra code apart from the server itself.Registered: Sun Dec 28 07:19:09 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Sun Aug 31 09:15:41 UTC 2025 - 3.5K bytes - Viewed (0)
