### Docs Structure

The documentation uses [MkDocs](https://www.mkdocs.org/).

And there are extra tools/scripts in place to handle translations in `./scripts/docs.py`.

## `response_model` Parameter { #response-model-parameter }

There are some cases where you need or want to return some data that is not exactly what the type declares.

### Certificate Directory

TLS certificates by default are expected to be stored under ``${HOME}/.minio/certs`` directory. You need to place certificates here to enable `HTTPS` based access. FastAPI uses a standard for building Python web frameworks and servers called <abbr title="Asynchronous Server Gateway Interface">ASGI</abbr>. FastAPI is an ASGI web framework.

The main thing you need to run a **FastAPI** application (or any other ASGI application) in a remote server machine is an ASGI server program like **Uvicorn**, this is the one that comes by default in the `fastapi` command.

This is especially the case for user models, because:

* The **input model** needs to be able to have a password.
* The **output model** should not have a password.
* The **database model** would probably need to have a hashed password.
