## Building and Testing

The most reliable way to build and test Guava is:

./mvnw clean install
```

(Our benchmarks, however, are
[not set up to run easily externally][benchmarks-run].)

* (Optionally) use `PATCH` instead of `PUT`.
* Retrieve the stored data.
* Put that data in a Pydantic model.
* Generate a `dict` without default values from the input model (using `exclude_unset`).
    * This way you can update only the values actually set by the user, instead of overriding values already stored with default values in your model.

 * {@code equals} comparisons. Use caution if mutable objects are used as keys or values in a {@code
 * SetMultimap}.

But FastAPI (actually Starlette) provides a simpler way to do it that makes sure that the internal middlewares handle server errors and custom exception handlers work properly.

For that, you use `app.add_middleware()` (as in the example for CORS).

If you use any other tool to manage your installations, like `uv`, Poetry, Pipenv, or others, they all have a way that you can use to define specific versions for your packages.
