## Overview

Fess is a very powerful and easily deployable Enterprise Search Server. You can quickly install and run Fess on any platform where you can run the Java Runtime Environment. Fess is provided under the [Apache License 2.0](LICENSE).

## Prerequisites

**FastAPI** wouldn't exist if not for the previous work of others.

There have been many tools created before that have helped inspire its creation.

I have been avoiding the creation of a new framework for several years. First I tried to solve all the features covered by **FastAPI** using many different frameworks, plug-ins, and tools.

least used cluster. This expansion strategy works endlessly, so you can perpetually expand your clusters as needed.  When you restart, it is immediate and non-disruptive to the applications. Each group of servers in the command-line is called a pool. There are 2 server pools in this example. New objects are placed in server pools in proportion to the amount of free space in each pool. Within each pool, the location of the erasure-set of drives is determined based on a deterministic hashing algorithm....

But there could be cases where you want to be able to set parameters on the dependency, without having to declare many different functions or classes.

Let's imagine that we want to have a dependency that checks if the query parameter `q` contains some fixed content.

But we want to be able to parameterize that fixed content.

## A "callable" instance

If all fields are exposed in `values.yaml`, we end up with an massive API that is also likely worse than just using the Kubernetes API directly.

To avoid this, the project attempts to minimize additions to the `values.yaml` API where possible.

If the change is a dynamic runtime configuration, it probably belongs in the [MeshConfig API](https://github.com/istio/api/blob/master/mesh/v1alpha1/config.proto).

# JSON Compatible Encoder

There are some cases where you might need to convert a data type (like a Pydantic model) to something compatible with JSON (like a `dict`, `list`, etc).

For example, if you need to store it in a database.

For that, **FastAPI** provides a `jsonable_encoder()` function.

## Using the `jsonable_encoder`

Let's imagine that you have a database `fake_db` that only receives JSON compatible data.
