## Installing the Chart

Before installing, ensure CRDs are installed in the cluster (from the `istio/base` chart).

To install the chart with the release name `istiod`:

```console
kubectl create namespace istio-system
helm install istiod istio/istiod --namespace istio-system
```

## Uninstalling the Chart

    * As the `q` parameter is declared with `= None`, it is optional.
    * Without the `None` it would be required (as is the body in the case with `PUT`).
* For `PUT` requests to `/items/{item_id}`, Read the body as JSON:
    * Check that it has a required attribute `name` that should be a `str`.

# Istio base Helm Chart

This chart installs resources shared by all Istio revisions. This includes Istio CRDs.

## Setup Repo Info

```console
helm repo add istio https://istio-release.storage.googleapis.com/charts
helm repo update
```

## Installing the Chart

To install the chart with the release name `istio-base`:

```console

requirements file for each version, with hashes specified for each
dependency required, as well as their sub-dependencies.

### How to update/add requirements

By default, the name of the base requirements file is `requirements.in`, but it
can be set using the `REQUIREMENTS_FILE_NAME` variable. \
For example:

```
export REQUIREMENTS_FILE_NAME=my_requirements.in
```
