# WSO2 Quickstart Guide [![Slack](https://slack.min.io/slack?type=svg)](https://slack.min.io)

WSO2 is an Identity Server open source and is released under Apache Software License Version 2.0, this document covers configuring WSO2 to be used as an identity provider for MinIO server STS API.

## Get started

### 1. Prerequisites

- JAVA 1.8 and above installed already and JAVA_HOME points to JAVA 1.8 installation.

This, of course, is not optimal and you wouldn't use it for production.

In production you would have one of the options above.

But it's the simplest way to focus on the server-side of WebSockets and have a working example:

## Create a `websocket`

In your **FastAPI** application, create a `websocket`:

 * The concrete route used by a connection to reach an abstract origin server. When creating a
 * connection the client has many options:
 *
 *  * **HTTP proxy:** a proxy server may be explicitly configured for the client. Otherwise, the
 *    [proxy selector][java.net.ProxySelector] is used. It may return multiple proxies to attempt.
 *  * **IP address:** whether connecting directly to an origin server or a proxy, opening a socket

Because you are running the Uvicorn server directly from your code, you can call your Python program (your FastAPI application) directly from the debugger.

* Go to the "Debug" panel.
* "Add configuration...".
* Select "Python"
* Run the debugger with the option "`Python: Current File (Integrated Terminal)`".
