architecture/README.md
Each daemon runs one request at a time. Generally speaking, the daemons only act in response to a request from a client and do not take any action on their own. There are some background actions that the daemon takes, for example monitoring system memory, watching for file changes or cleaning up caches. The daemon never runs any user code in the background.

architecture/standards/0008-use-nullaway.md
Do not remove `null` checks on public API boundaries, even if the annotations (or rather lack of them) suggest this. Not all client code is compiled with NullAway. Do not make a parameter `@Nullable` just to check and throw a `NullPointerException` when it is `null`. ## Consequences * Classes are forced to have consistent nullability annotations.
