CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.13.md
### SIG Openstack The major theme for the SIG OpenStack release is the work-in-progress for removing the in-tree provider. This work, being done in conjunction with SIG Cloud Provider, is focusing on moving internal APIs that the OpenStack (and other providers) depends upon to staging to guarantee API stability. This work also included abstracting the in-tree Cinder API and refactoring code to the external Cinder provider to remove additional Cinder volume provider code.

/** * A step in a pipeline of an asynchronous computation. When the last step in the computation is * complete, some objects captured during the computation are closed. * * <p>A pipeline of {@code ClosingFuture}s is a tree of steps. Each step represents either an * asynchronously-computed intermediate value, or else an exception that indicates the failure or * cancellation of the operation so far. The only way to extract the value or exception from a step

// This guarantees a deterministic sequence when handling the canceled request: // 1. Server reads request and dequeues first response // 2. Client cancels request // 3. Server tries to send response on the canceled stream // Otherwise, there is no guarantee for the sequence. For example, the server may use the // first mocked response to respond to the second request.
