its value is derived from three sources:
the defaults for the Go toolchain used to build the program,
amended to match the Go version listed in `go.mod`,
and then overridden by explicit `//go:debug` lines in the program.

The [GODEBUG History](#history) gives the exact defaults for each Go toolchain version.
For example, Go 1.21 introduces the `panicnil` setting,

     * Adds main and test output directories to the result. This method adds the main output directory
     * to the module-path if it contains a {@code module-info.class}, or to the class-path otherwise.
     * For the test output directory, the rules are more complex and are governed by the fact that
     * Java does not accept the placement of two modules of the same name on the module-path.

Here we are simulating the expensive *startup* operation of loading the model by putting the (fake) model function in the dictionary with machine learning models before the `yield`. This code will be executed **before** the application **starts taking requests**, during the *startup*.
