api/README
except.txt lists features that may disappear without breaking true compatibility. Starting with go1.19.txt, each API feature line must end in "#nnnnn" giving the GitHub issue number of the proposal issue that accepted the new API. This helps with our end-of-cycle audit of new APIs. The same requirement applies to next/* (described below), which will become a go1.XX.txt for XX >= 19. The next/ directory contains the only files intended to be mutated.

CONTRIBUTING.md
Go is an open source project. It is the work of hundreds of contributors. We appreciate your help! ## Before filing an issue If you are unsure whether you have found a bug, please consider asking in the [golang-nuts mailing list](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/golang-nuts) or [other forums](https://golang.org/help/) first. If the behavior you are seeing is confirmed as a bug or issue, it can easily be re-raised in the issue tracker.

doc/go1.22.html
On Windows, when building with <code>-linkmode=internal</code>, the linker now preserves SEH information from C object files by copying the <code>.pdata</code> and <code>.xdata</code> sections into the final binary. This helps with debugging and profiling binaries using native tools, such as WinDbg. Note that until now, C functions' SEH exception handlers were not being honored, so this change may cause some programs to behave differently.

explicitly in Go to pointers to arrays, as they do (implicitly) in C. Garbage collection is the big problem. It is fine for the Go world to have pointers into the C world and to free those pointers when they are no longer needed. To help, the Go code can define Go objects holding the C pointers and use runtime.SetFinalizer on those Go objects. It is much more difficult for the C world to have pointers into the Go
