src/cmd/cgo/doc.go
The preamble may contain any C code, including function and variable declarations and definitions. These may then be referred to from Go code as though they were defined in the package "C". All names declared in the preamble may be used, even if they start with a lower-case letter. Exception: static variables in the preamble may not be referenced from Go code; static functions are permitted.

doc/next/6-stdlib/1-time.md
Go 1.23 makes two significant changes to the implementation of [time.Timer] and [time.Ticker]. First, `Timer`s and `Ticker`s that are no longer referred to by the program become eligible for garbage collection immediately, even if their `Stop` methods have not been called. Earlier versions of Go did not collect unstopped `Timer`s until after they had fired and never collected unstopped `Ticker`s.

// 128 ASCII characters. The 128-bits of the upper 16 bytes will be zeroed, // ensuring that any non-ASCII character will be reported as not in the set. // This allocates a total of 32 bytes even though the upper half // is unused to avoid bounds checks in asciiSet.contains. type asciiSet [8]uint32 // makeASCIISet creates a set of ASCII characters and reports whether all // characters in chars are ASCII.
