- Fixes a race condition in the iptables mode of kube-proxy in 1.27 and later that could result in some updates getting lost (e.g., when a service gets a new endpoint, the rules for the new endpoint might not be added until much later). ([#122756](https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/122756), [@hakman](https://github.com/hakman)) [SIG Network]

- Sometimes, the scheduler incorrectly placed a pod in the "unschedulable" queue instead of the "backoff" queue. This happened when some plugin previously declared the pod as "unschedulable" and then in a later attempt encounters some other error. Scheduling of that pod then got delayed by up to five minutes, after which periodic flushing moved the pod back into the "active" queue. // Errors may occur at different points while syncing config. Earlier errors (e.g. download or // checkpointing errors) will not result in a rollback to LastKnownGood, and may resolve across // Kubelet retries. Later errors (e.g. loading or validating a checkpointed config) will result in // a rollback to LastKnownGood. In the latter case, it is usually possible to resolve the error // by fixing the config assigned in Spec.ConfigSource.
