Both IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio — which is derived from IntelliJ IDEA — will detect when you make changes to your build logic and offer two suggestions:

 1. Import the whole build again

Method <org.gradle.plugins.ide.idea.GenerateIdeaModule.getXmlTransformer()> does not have raw return type assignable to org.gradle.api.provider.Provider in (GenerateIdeaModule.java:0)

Method <org.gradle.plugins.ide.idea.GenerateIdeaProject.create()> has arguments/return type org.gradle.plugins.ide.internal.generator.generator.PersistableConfigurationObject that is not Gradle public API or primitive or built-in JDK classes or Kotlin classes in (GenerateIdeaProject.java:0)

Unless `keyring-format` is specified, this command will generate *both* the binary version and the ASCII-armored file.
Use this option to choose the preferred format.
You should only pick one for your project.

It's a good idea to commit this file to VCS (as long as you trust your VCS).
If you use git and use the binary version, make sure to make it treat this file as binary, by adding this to your `.gitattributes` file:

The deprecated `testSourceDirs` and `testResourceDirs` properties of the `IdeaModule` type have been removed.
This affects the `org.gradle.plugins.ide.idea.model.IdeaModule` type, not the `org.gradle.tooling.model.idea.IdeaModule` type.
Use the `testSources` and `testResources` properties instead.
