  1. CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.28.md

    - Pods which set `hostNetwork: true` and declare ports, get the `hostPort` field set automatically. Previously this would happen in the PodTemplate of a Deployment, DaemonSet or other workload API. Now `hostPort` will only be set when an actual Pod is being created. If this presents a problem, setting the feature gate "DefaultHostNetworkHostPortsInPodTemplates" to true will revert this behavior. Please file a kubernetes bug if you need to do this. This has **several benefits**, one of the main ones is that now the parameters of your functions with `Annotated` would **not be affected** at all.

        * Scale up forbidden window was protecting HPA against making decision to scale up based on metrics gathered during pod initialisation (which may be invalid, for example pod may be using a lot of CPU despite not doing any "actual" work).
        * To avoid that negative effect only use per pod metrics from pods that are:
        * - ready (so metrics about them should be valid), or

    * Added anti-affinity to kube-dns pods. Otherwise the "no single point of failure" setting doesn't actually work (a single node failure can still take down the entire cluster). ([#57683](https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/57683), [@vainu-arto](https://github.com/vainu-arto))
