# CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing)

<a href="https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS" class="external-link" target="_blank">CORS or "Cross-Origin Resource Sharing"</a> refers to the situations when a frontend running in a browser has JavaScript code that communicates with a backend, and the backend is in a different "origin" than the frontend.

## Origin

And in OkHttp 2.3 we dropped support for [RC4](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RC4#Security). As with your desktop web browser, staying up-to-date with OkHttp is the best way to stay secure.

You can build your own connection spec with a custom set of TLS versions and cipher suites. For example, this configuration is limited to three highly-regarded cipher suites....

  - Select `Manually`.
  - Give it a name. The name will be displayed on TeamCity web UI. We highly recommend it be capitalized from the branch name, i.e. `MyTestBranch`.
  - The project ID will be auto-generated as `Gradle_MyTestBranch`. If not, you probably selected wrong parent, the "Parent project" should be `Gradle`.

This module is an implementation of [Brotli][1] compression.
It enables Brotli support in addition to tranparent Gzip support,
provided Accept-Encoding is not set previously.  Modern web servers
must choose to return Brotli responses.  n.b. It is not used for
