There are 2 ways to try Fess. The first is to download and install yourself. The second is to use [Docker](https://www.docker.com/products/docker-engine).

### Download and Install/Run

Fess 15.5 is now available and can be downloaded on the [Releases page](https://github.com/codelibs/fess/releases "download"). Downloads come in 3 flavors: deb, rpm, zip.

The following commands show how to use the zip download:

     * Resolved sources are used for artifacts that have been resolved by Maven
     * from repositories (using groupId:artifactId:version coordinates) and
     * downloaded to the local repository. These sources do not support resolving
     * other sources.

Clicking okay on the dialog will cause a copy of the `accepted-public-api-changes.json` containing your (properly sorted) addition to be downloaded.
You can then replace the existing file with this new downloaded version.
