Some requests will have a cached response. When this cached response isn’t fresh, OkHttp can do a _conditional GET_ to download an updated response if it’s newer than what’s cached. This requires headers like `If-Modified-Since` and `If-None-Match` to be added.

## Rewriting Responses

OpenAPI has a way to define multiple security "schemes".

By using them, you can take advantage of all these standard-based tools, including these interactive documentation systems.

OpenAPI defines the following security schemes:

* `apiKey`: an application specific key that can come from:
    * A query parameter.
    * A header.
    * A cookie.

When you install FastAPI, it comes with a production server, Uvicorn, and you can start it with the `fastapi run` command.

But you can also install an ASGI server manually.

Make sure you create a [virtual environment](../virtual-environments.md), activate it, and then you can install the server application.
