Once the pod terminates, the Job controller evaluates `.backoffLimit` and `.podFailurePolicy` for the relevant Job, taking this now-terminated Pod into consideration. This behavior is limited to Jobs with `.spec.podFailurePolicy` set, and only when those two feature gates are both enabled.
