## Asynchronous Code Asynchronous code just means that the language 💬 has a way to tell the computer / program 🤖 that at some point in the code, it 🤖 will have to wait for *something else* to finish somewhere else. Let's say that *something else* is called "slow-file" 📝. So, during that time, the computer can go and do some other work, while "slow-file" 📝 finishes.

architecture/standards/0003-avoid-introducing-Groovy-types-to-public-api.md
Historically, Gradle has shipped with some Groovy types in very prominent APIs. This required the Kotlin DSL to add special integration to work with Groovy closures. This has also forced plugins written in languages other than Groovy to use Groovy types for some APIs. When the Kotlin DSL was introduced, we made an effort to add non-Groovy equivalents for all APIs.

/// ```Python hl_lines="16-17 24-25" {!> ../../docs_src/dependencies/tutorial008.py!} ``` //// The same way, you could have some dependencies with `yield` and some other dependencies with `return`, and have some of those depend on some of the others. And you could have a single dependency that requires several other dependencies with `yield`, etc.
