* possibly run in another thread. * * <p>{@code UncheckedExecutionException} is intended as an alternative to {@code * ExecutionException} when the exception thrown by a task is an unchecked exception. However, it * may also wrap a checked exception in some cases. * * <p>When wrapping an {@code Error} from another thread, prefer {@link ExecutionError}. When * wrapping a checked exception, prefer {@code ExecutionException}. *

Otherwise, the CNI plugin will continually be retried, blocking Pod startup until it succeeds. From the above we are ensured that when the application starts and opens a connection, Ztunnel will be ready to `accept()` it. However, this is not enough to fully serve the request - Ztunnel will need the certificate (from the CA) and full workload information (from the XDS server).

Most of the API is fairly straight forward. However, one interesting aspect is how these policies associate with workloads. Istio's AuthorizationPolicy has label selectors. However, we intentionally do not send those as part of the Workload API, in order to keep the size low. The obvious solution to this is to put the list of selected workloads into the policy itself.

xcs-->acs ccs-->acs fcs-->acs end ``` #### ServiceDiscovery The other primary interface is the ServiceDiscovery. Similar to ConfigStore, this aggregates over a variety of resources. However, it does not provide generic resource access, and instead precomputes a variety of service-oriented internal resources, such as `model.Service` and `model.ServiceInstance`.
