# Apache Lucene and Solr have separate repositories now!

Solr has become a top-level Apache project and main line 
development for Lucene and Solr is happening in each 
project's git repository now:

cmd/link Command Line Interface

The go command and any other Go-aware build systems invoke cmd/link
to link a collection of packages into a single binary. By default, cmd/link will
present the same interface it does today:

	cmd/link main.a

produces a file named a.out, even if cmd/link does so by invoking the host
linker in external linking mode.

- [ ] Write a pull request description that is detailed enough to understand what the pull request does, how, and why.
- [ ] Each commit in the pull request should have a meaningful subject line and body.
  Note that commits might be squashed by a maintainer on merge.
- [ ] Write unit tests that match behavioral changes, where the tests fail if the changes to the runtime are not applied.
