FastAPI will use this return type to:

* **Validate** the returned data.
    * If the data is invalid (e.g. you are missing a field), it means that *your* app code is broken, not returning what it should, and it will return a server error instead of returning incorrect data. ### Install requirements

Create a virtual environment and install the required packages with [`uv`](https://github.com/astral-sh/uv):

### Using your local FastAPI

As your FastAPI `app` object lives in `app/main.py`, you can configure the `entrypoint` in your `pyproject.toml` file like this:

that is equivalent to importing like:

That way the `fastapi` command will know where to find your app.

Do you want to have an `id` and `email` and not have any `username` in your model? Sure. You can use these same tools.
