The process that happens when your API app calls the *external API* is named a "callback". Because the software that the external developer wrote sends a request to your API and then your API *calls back*, sending a request to an *external API* (that was probably created by the same developer).

A scriptable web server for testing HTTP clients


### Motivation

This library makes it easy to test that your app Does The Right Thing when it
makes HTTP and HTTPS calls. It lets you specify which responses to return and
then verify that requests were made as expected.

Because it exercises your full HTTP stack, you can be confident that you're
testing everything. You can even copy & paste HTTP responses from your real web

**In our tests we also found ext4 does not honor POSIX O_DIRECT/Fdatasync semantics, ext4 trades performance for consistency guarantees. Please avoid ext4 in your setup.**

If you pass a "callable" as a dependency in **FastAPI**, it will analyze the parameters for that "callable", and process them in the same way as the parameters for a *path operation function*. Including sub-dependencies.

That also applies to callables with no parameters at all. The same as it would be for *path operation functions* with no parameters.
