## Issue management

We use GitHub to track all of our bugs and feature requests. Each issue we track has a variety of metadata:

- **Epic**. An epic represents a feature area for Istio as a whole. Epics are fairly broad in scope and are basically product-level things.
Each issue is ultimately part of an epic.

The Gradle code base is essentially a large monolith, without strong internal boundaries.
This has a number of negative effects on productivity, including:

- Unclear ownership of code.
- Difficult to focus on one particular area.
- Unintended coupling between areas of the code, including tests.

## Decision

Organize the Gradle code base into a set of coarse-grained "architecture modules".

reset). All objects created prior to this date are eligible for re-replication if existing object replication is enabled for the replication rule the object satisfies. At the time of completion of replication, `x-minio-internal-replication-reset-arn:<arn>` is set in the metadata with the timestamp of replication and ResetID. For saving iops, the objects which are re-replicated are not first set to `PENDING` state.
