When the kubelet constructs the CRI mounts for the container which references an `image` volume source type, it passes the missing mount attributes to the CRI implementation, including `readOnly`, `propagation`, and `recursiveReadOnly`. When the readOnly field of the containerMount is explicitly set to false, the kubelet will now take the `readOnly`as true to the CRI implementation because the image volume plugin requires the mount to be read-only.

# Sub Applications - Mounts { #sub-applications-mounts }

If you need to have two independent FastAPI applications, with their own independent OpenAPI and their own docs UIs, you can have a main app and "mount" one (or more) sub-application(s).

## Mounting a **FastAPI** application { #mounting-a-fastapi-application }

- Faster mount detection for linux kernel 5.10+ using openat2 speeding up pod churn rates. On Kernel versions less 5.10, it will fallback to using the original way of detecting mount points i.e by parsing /proc/mounts.
