docs/en/docs/tutorial/testing.md
Use the `TestClient` object the same way as you do with `httpx`. Write simple `assert` statements with the standard Python expressions that you need to check (again, standard `pytest`). ```Python hl_lines="2 12 15-18" {!../../docs_src/app_testing/tutorial001.py!} ``` /// tip Notice that the testing functions are normal `def`, not `async def`.

docs/en/docs/tutorial/query-params-str-validations.md
* `$`: ends there, doesn't have any more characters after `fixedquery`. If you feel lost with all these **"regular expression"** ideas, don't worry. They are a hard topic for many people. You can still do a lot of stuff without needing regular expressions yet. But whenever you need them and go and learn them, know that you can already use them directly in **FastAPI**.

architecture/networking/controllers.md
Istio consumes _many_ different types of clients (at the time of writing, 7), as well as informers for each of these. Additionally, we often need to convert to various different client forms for different libraries we integrate with. `kube.Client` just bundles these all in one place, so we have a single object to pass around anywhere we need Kubernetes access. Additionally, it has a fake client variant, that does the same thing but with fake clients for use in unit tests.

### Short It has sensible **defaults** for everything, with optional configurations everywhere. All the parameters can be fine-tuned to do what you need and to define the API you need. But by default, it all **"just works"**. ### Validation * Validation for most (or all?) Python **data types**, including: * JSON objects (`dict`).

- Temporary credentials do not need to be stored with the application but are generated dynamically and provided to the application when requested. When (or even before) the temporary credentials expire, the application can request new credentials. Following are advantages for using temporary credentials: - Eliminates the need to embed long-term credentials with an application.

I'm sure _I_ shan't be able! I shall be a great deal too far off to trouble myself

And then you can set headers in that *temporal* response object. ```Python hl_lines="1 7-8" {!../../docs_src/response_headers/tutorial002.py!} ``` And then you can return any object you need, as you normally would (a `dict`, a database model, etc). And if you declared a `response_model`, it will still be used to filter and convert the object you returned.
