# Metadata and Docs URLs { #metadata-and-docs-urls }

You can customize several metadata configurations in your **FastAPI** application.

## Metadata for API { #metadata-for-api }

You can set the following fields that are used in the OpenAPI specification and the automatic API docs UIs:

* Logging Implementation

 Maven 3.1.0 ships bundled with {{{https://www.slf4j.org/api/org/slf4j/simple/SimpleLogger.html}SLF4J simple logger}} and since 3.5.0 {{{../maven-slf4j-provider/}Maven-customized <<<maven-slf4j-provider>>>}},
 but is ready to use other logging implementations: SLF4J is responsible for loading the implementation, referred to as
 {{{http://www.slf4j.org/manual.html#swapping}"SLF4J bindings"}}.

FastAPI uses a **unique ID** for each *path operation*, which is used for the **operation ID** and also for the names of any needed custom models, for requests or responses.

You can customize that function. It takes an `APIRoute` and outputs a string.

For example, here it is using the first tag (you will probably have only one tag) and the *path operation* name (the function name).

A simpler solution is to avoid the shared default SSL socket factory. Instead, if you
need to customize SSL, do so for your specific OkHttpClient instance only.
