most of the command line arguments and features supported by those tools will be
acknowledged by the Bazel requirements updater command as well. For example, if
you wish the updater to consider pre-release versions simply pass `--pre`
argument to the bazel command:

Go's emphasis on backwards compatibility is one of its key strengths.
There are, however, times when we cannot maintain complete compatibility.

From April 23, 2021 it was made official that Kubernetes release cadence has reduced from 4 releases per year to 3 releases per year.
