docs/en/docs/tutorial/background-tasks.md
By only using `BackgroundTasks` (and not `BackgroundTask`), it's then possible to use it as a *path operation function* parameter and have **FastAPI** handle the rest for you, just like when using the `Request` object directly. It's still possible to use `BackgroundTask` alone in FastAPI, but you have to create the object in your code and return a Starlette `Response` including it.

You can also use the *path operation decorator* parameters `response_model_include` and `response_model_exclude`. They take a `set` of `str` with the name of the attributes to include (omitting the rest) or to exclude (including the rest). This can be used as a quick shortcut if you have only one Pydantic model and want to remove some data from the output. /// tip
