## Context

Modern best practices when developing a Gradle plugin are to use lazy types (ConfigurableFileCollection, Provider API, domain object containers) when defining configurable parts of a plugin (tasks, extensions, domain objects).  The Provider API provides a consistent way to set conventions, wire related configuration together (extension <- domain object <- task) and avoid evaluation ordering problems.

In case of a S3 multi-part operation each part is en/decrypted with the scheme shown in Figure 1. However, for each part an unique secret key is derived from the OEK and the part number using a PRF. So in case of multi-part not the OEK but the output of `PRF(OEK, part_id)` is used as secret key.

#### Cryptographic Primitives

* Be careful when using features introduced in Java 1.7 or later. Some parts of Gradle still need to run on Java 6.
* Normalize file paths in tests. The `org.gradle.util.internal.TextUtil` class has some useful functions for this purpose.
