docs/en/docs/tutorial/body-updates.md
You can also use the [HTTP `PATCH`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Methods/PATCH) operation to *partially* update data. This means that you can send only the data that you want to update, leaving the rest intact. /// note `PATCH` is less commonly used and known than `PUT`. And many teams use only `PUT`, even for partial updates.

* * <p>Each of the {@code standard} methods, where appropriate, uses the set's comparator (or the * natural ordering of the elements, if there is no comparator) to test element equality. As a * result, if the comparator is not consistent with equals, some of the standard implementations may * violate the {@code Set} contract. *Created: Fri Apr 03 12:43:13 GMT 2026 - Last Modified: Wed Feb 12 16:28:01 GMT 2025 - 5.7K bytes - Click Count (0) -
docs/en/docs/tutorial/background-tasks.md
By only using `BackgroundTasks` (and not `BackgroundTask`), it's then possible to use it as a *path operation function* parameter and have **FastAPI** handle the rest for you, just like when using the `Request` object directly. It's still possible to use `BackgroundTask` alone in FastAPI, but you have to create the object in your code and return a Starlette `Response` including it.
