Quick Build
-------
If you want to bootstrap Maven, you'll need:
- Java 17+
- Maven 3.6.3 or later
- Run Maven, specifying a location into which the completed Maven distro should be installed:
    ```
    mvn -DdistributionTargetDir="$HOME/app/maven/apache-maven-4.1.x-SNAPSHOT" clean package
    ```

 * completed in the correct order. The three main lifecycles in Maven are

You can add more than one event handler function.

And your application won't start receiving requests until all the `startup` event handlers have completed.

### `shutdown` event { #shutdown-event }

To add a function that should be run when the application is shutting down, declare it with the event `"shutdown"`:
