This document explains how to configure MinIO with `Bucket lookup from DNS` style federation.

## Get started

- Graduated the asynchronous preemption feature in the scheduler to beta. 

### Additional notes

Tiering and lifecycle transition are applicable only to erasure/distributed MinIO.

### CSI Service Account Token

CSI Service Account Token feature moves to Beta in 1.21. This feature improves the security posture and allows CSI drivers to receive pods' [bound service account tokens](https://github.com/kubernetes/enhancements/blob/master/keps/sig-auth/1205-bound-service-account-tokens/README.md). This feature also provides a knob to re-publish volumes so that short-lived volumes can be refreshed.

#### API Compatibility Mode

> **Note**: GSA-compatible search API support may vary by Fess version. The configuration import feature is fully supported, but for GSA-compatible search endpoints, please consult the official Fess documentation for your specific version.

For applications still sending queries to GSA endpoints, Fess provides a configuration option:

* PodReadinessGate feature is now GA. The feature gate will not allow disabling it. ([#74434](https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/74434), [@freehan](https://github.com/freehan))

Therefore, compression is disabled when encrypting by default, and must be enabled separately.

To enable compression+encryption use:
