docs/en/docs/tutorial/request-forms.md
With `Form` you can declare the same configurations as with `Body` (and `Query`, `Path`, `Cookie`), including validation, examples, an alias (e.g. `user-name` instead of `username`), etc. /// info `Form` is a class that inherits directly from `Body`. /// /// tip To declare form bodies, you need to use `Form` explicitly, because without it the parameters would be interpreted as query parameters or body (JSON) parameters. ///

* * The coding pattern above is heavily used in java.util, e.g. in ArrayList. There is a * RangeCheckMicroBenchmark in the JDK that was used to test this. * * But the methods in this class want to throw different exceptions, depending on the args, so it * appears that this pattern is not directly applicable. But we can use the ridiculous, devious

* `breaking`: Breaking Changes * Existing code will break if they update the version without changing their code. This rarely happens, so this label is not frequently used. * `security`: Security Fixes * This is for security fixes, like vulnerabilities. It would almost never be used. * `feature`: FeaturesCreated: Sun Apr 05 07:19:11 GMT 2026 - Last Modified: Mon Mar 23 13:59:26 GMT 2026 - 10.7K bytes - Click Count (0) -

docs/en/docs/advanced/using-request-directly.md
As **FastAPI** is actually **Starlette** underneath, with a layer of several tools on top, you can use Starlette's [`Request`](https://www.starlette.dev/requests/) object directly when you need to. It would also mean that if you get data from the `Request` object directly (for example, read the body) it won't be validated, converted or documented (with OpenAPI, for the automatic API user interface) by FastAPI.
