CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.26.md
**Note**: This only impacts the cluster if the ServiceAccount admission plugin is used (most cluster should have this on by default as recommended in https://kubernetes.io/docs/reference/access-authn-authz/admission-controllers/#serviceaccount), the `kubernetes.io/enforce-mountable-secrets` annotation is used by a service account (this annotation is not added by default), and Pods are using ephemeral containers.

CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.13.md
* A new `TaintNodesByCondition` admission plugin taints newly created Node objects as "not ready", to fix a race condition that could cause pods to be scheduled on new nodes before their taints were updated to accurately reflect their reported conditions. This admission plugin is enabled by default if the `TaintNodesByCondition` feature is enabled. ([#73097](https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/73097),...

CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.18.md
1. Currently, if users were to explicitly specify CacheSize of 0 for KMS provider, they would end-up with a provider that caches up to 1000 keys. This PR changes this behavior. Post this PR, when users supply 0 for CacheSize this will result in a validation error. 2. CacheSize type was changed from int32 to *int32. This allows defaulting logic to differentiate between cases where users explicitly supplied 0 vs. not supplied any value.Registered: Fri Dec 26 09:05:12 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Wed Jun 16 17:18:28 UTC 2021 - 373.2K bytes - Viewed (0) -

## Urgent Upgrade Notes ### (No, really, you MUST read this before you upgrade) - A bug was fixed in kubelet where exec probe timeouts were not respected. Ensure that pods relying on this behavior are updated to correctly handle probe timeouts.

In Linux containers, this means setting the FQDN in the hostname field of the kernel (the nodename field of struct utsname). In Windows containers, this means setting the this means setting the registry value of hostname for the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Tcpip\\Parameters to FQDN.
