- Objects matching these prefixes will behave as though versioning were suspended. These objects **will not** be replicated if bucket has replication configured.

When working on some source code it is important to be aware of the runtimes in which it will run, so that you don't break these constraints.
There is some assistance in the IDE for this plus a lot of validation that is applied at build time and on CI, but it is useful to keep these constraints in mind as well.

Given these constraints, we cannot always follow best practices.  This ADR proposes the way we should handle the use of Provider APIs in the gradle/gradle codebase.

A downside of this structure is that it is difficult to do focused work on the Gradle UI.
