- Some base services that are available to code hosted by the runtime. This varies by runtime.
- Additional constraints. For example, the CLI client runtimes limit the libraries that are available to the code in that runtime, for performance reasons. 

Other modules and platforms define the services that they contribute to the runtime.

With a server that holds a certificate and a client that trusts it we have enough for an HTTPS
handshake. The best part of this example is that we don't need to make our test code insecure with a
a fake `HostnameVerifier` or `X509TrustManager`.

- e2e tests that require SSH may now be used against clusters that have nodes without external IP addresses by setting the environment variable `KUBE_SSH_BASTION` to the `host:port` of a machine that is allowed to SSH to those nodes. But FastAPI (actually Starlette) provides a simpler way to do it that makes sure that the internal middlewares handle server errors and custom exception handlers work properly.

For that, you use `app.add_middleware()` (as in the example for CORS).

Keep in mind that if you return a response directly instead of using the `Response` parameter, FastAPI will return it directly.

So, you will have to make sure your data is of the correct type. E.g. it is compatible with JSON, if you are returning a `JSONResponse`.

And also that you are not sending any data that should have been filtered by a `response_model`.
