docs/en/docs/advanced/additional-status-codes.md
By default, **FastAPI** will return the responses using a `JSONResponse`, putting the content you return from your *path operation* inside of that `JSONResponse`. It will use the default status code or the one you set in your *path operation*. ## Additional status codes { #additional-status-codes_1 }Created: Sun Apr 05 07:19:11 GMT 2026 - Last Modified: Thu Mar 05 18:13:19 GMT 2026 - 2K bytes - Click Count (0) -
docs/en/docs/tutorial/testing.md
If you have a Pydantic model in your test and you want to send its data to the application during testing, you can use the `jsonable_encoder` described in [JSON Compatible Encoder](encoder.md). /// ## Run it { #run-it } After that, you just need to install `pytest`.

docs/en/docs/advanced/behind-a-proxy.md
Having a proxy with a stripped path prefix, in this case, means that you could declare a path at `/app` in your code, but then, you add a layer on top (the proxy) that would put your **FastAPI** application under a path like `/api/v1`. In this case, the original path `/app` would actually be served at `/api/v1/app`. Even though all your code is written assuming there's just `/app`.

docs/en/docs/tutorial/response-model.md
This way you can add correct type annotations to your functions even when you are returning a type different than the response model, to be used by the editor and tools like mypy. And still you can have FastAPI do the data validation, documentation, etc. using the `response_model`.

docs/en/docs/advanced/additional-responses.md
/// warning This is a rather advanced topic. If you are starting with **FastAPI**, you might not need this. /// You can declare additional responses, with additional status codes, media types, descriptions, etc. Those additional responses will be included in the OpenAPI schema, so they will also appear in the API docs.
