```Python hl_lines="22" {!> ../../docs_src/dependencies/tutorial005.py!} ``` //// /// info Notice that we are only declaring one dependency in the *path operation function*, the `query_or_cookie_extractor`. But **FastAPI** will know that it has to solve `query_extractor` first, to pass the results of that to `query_or_cookie_extractor` while calling it. /// ```mermaid graph TB
Then we use the request directly, and extract the body as `bytes`. This means that FastAPI won't even try to parse the request payload as JSON. And then in our code, we parse that YAML content directly, and then we are again using the same Pydantic model to validate the YAML content:
There's a small detail about names to keep in mind. 💡 The word "**server**" is commonly used to refer to both the remote/cloud computer (the physical or virtual machine) and also the program that is running on that machine (e.g. Uvicorn). Just keep in mind that when you read "server" in general, it could refer to one of those two things.
## Gradle runtimes Gradle is also made up of several different processes that work together to "run the build", such as the Gradle daemon and the `gradlew` command. Each process, or "runtime", applies different constraints to the code that runs in that process. For example, each process has different supported JVMs and a different set of services available for dependency injection.
Your API now has the power to control its own <abbr title="This is a joke, just in case. It has nothing to do with cookie consents, but it's funny that even the API can now reject the poor cookies.
