## Install the Server Program { #install-the-server-program }

When you install FastAPI, it comes with a production server, Uvicorn, and you can start it with the `fastapi run` command.

But you can also install an ASGI server manually.

Make sure you create a [virtual environment](../virtual-environments.md){.internal-link target=_blank}, activate it, and then you can install the server application.

## Get started

### 1. Prerequisites

- JAVA 1.8 and above installed already and JAVA_HOME points to JAVA 1.8 installation.
- Download WSO2 follow their [installation guide](https://docs.wso2.com/display/IS540/Installation+Guide).

### 2. Configure WSO2

### Homebrew (recommended)

Run the following command to install the latest stable MinIO package using [Homebrew](https://brew.sh/). Replace ``/data`` with the path to the drive or directory in which you want MinIO to store data.
