<h3 id="symbols">Symbols</h3>

Some symbols, such as <code>R1</code> or <code>LR</code>,
are predefined and refer to registers.
The exact set depends on the architecture.

There are four predeclared symbols that refer to pseudo-registers.
These are not real registers, but rather virtual registers maintained by

- Kubeadm: fixed a bug during kubeadm upgrade, where it is not possible to mount a new device and create a symbolic link for /etc/kubernetes (or a sub-directory) so that kubeadm stores its information on the mounted device.   - `kubectl convert`, deprecated since v1.14, will be removed in v1.17.

The GOOS and GOARCH environment variables set the desired target.

	symbol. The optional <remote> specifies the symbol's name and
	possibly version in the dynamic library, and the optional "<library>"
	names the specific library where the symbol should be found.

	On AIX, the library pattern is slightly different. It must be
	"lib.a/obj.o" with obj.o the member of this library exporting
	this symbol.
